Mount Sterling, Kentucky, May 25, 2018—Sterling Health Solutions, Inc. (SHS), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) headquartered in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, announces the departure of its current Chief Executive Officer, Harold T. Brown. Mr. Brown has led the SHS team since 2014, when he then replaced founding CEO, Jennifer Nesmith.
“It has been my great privilege to work with an exceptionally dedicated and skilled team of executives and managers who lead the most talented group of patient advocates I have ever seen in all of my years in the healthcare industry,” states Mr. Brown. “I am exceedingly grateful for the devotion of SHS’ employees in increasing patient access to quality care and improving the experience for every patient.”
“It has been an honor to lead SHS these past years and to serve the thousands of patients who have accessed our health services,” continues Mr. Brown. “I am proud of what we have accomplished as a team on behalf of our patients and employees as we pursued this mission of the organization. I am convinced that SHS will continue to develop, grown, and increase access to quality health services for the residents in our organization’s service area.”
Alex Conrad, the current CFO of Sterling Health Solutions, Inc., has been named by the SHS Board of Directors, as the Interim CEO, in light of Mr. Brown’s departure. Mr. Conrad has been at SHS since 2015 and brings over a decade of healthcare related experience in the areas of strategic growth, patient services, operational leadership, and financial management to his new role. His first full day as Interim CEO will be May 29, 2018.

Sterling Health Solutions, Inc., was founded in 2009, for the mission of improving the health of all people, through quality medical, behavioral health, women’s care, and dental services, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay for the services. SHS currently operates four facilities, located in the cities of Mount Sterling, Owingsville, and Carlisle. SHS also provides school-based health centers in the Montgomery County School system.
