We are pleased to announce that STERLING HEALTH SOLUTIONS, INC. was the recipient of 4 AWARDS at this year’s KY Health Center Network Leadership Conference.
Outstanding Service or Program: Awarded to Sterling Health Solutions for their work with the CDC Million Hearts Hiding In Plain Sight (HIPS) Project. Sterling Health Solutions was recognized as 2nd in the nation to achieve the 10% goal in hypertension control improvement through the HIPS program, and achieved this goal in just 8 months. They focused on adhering to their newly-developed blood pressure protocols and providing blood pressure self-monitoring services to patients. Sterling Health Solutions also purchased i2i’s Population Health Management tool and utilized run charts to act on drivers of change. They were recently contacted by HRSA to provide information on their success in this project for inclusion in an internal newsletter about Health Center success in Million Hearts projects.
Outstanding Leader: Awarded to Harold Brown of Sterling Health Solutions. Harold has brought expansion of services to the community through his vision and mission for the organization. His drive and passion has helped build a new, state-of-the-art dental and women’s care facility. Growth has also included a substance abuse program and the addition of clinics in two counties. As a leader, he works to understand the problems of the service area and looks for solutions along with other community leaders. Harold works to make each provider and staff member feel like a part of the team, and has been a huge asset to the growth and success of Sterling Health Solutions.
Healthcare Hero: Awarded to Richard Hall, M.D. of Sterling Health Solutions. Dr. Hall is a caring and compassionate provider that has served the community for over 20 years. He is the CMO at Sterling Health Solutions, Women’s & Pediatric Services Director at the local hospital, and is double-boarded in internal medicine and pediatrics. He has excellent bed-side manner and is always willing to go above and beyond. Dr. Hall is devoted to his patients and organization – usually the first one to arrive and last to leave, and often in his office after hours and weekends. His patient satisfaction scores and quality measures are the benchmark for the organization. He is a humble man who is a hero to everyone he impacts.
Outstanding Innovation: Awarded to Alex Conrad of Sterling Health Solutions. Joining Sterling Health Solutions less than 2 years ago, Alex has gone above and beyond since day one. His accomplishments through his innovative ideas brought to Sterling Health include reduced no-show rates; better hospital charge capture; standardized processes for missed appointments, allergy shots, scheduling and referral tracking; new inventory and online bill pay systems. These innovations have led to increased revenue, decreased costs, and more efficient workflows.
