BUDDY WILSON RECEIVES OUTSTANDING SANITARIAN AWARD
The Kentucky Environmental Health Association (KYEHA) has named Buddy Wilson as this year’s Outstanding Sanitarian. The award was presented on Thursday, Feb. 15 at the 2018 KYEHA Annual Conference in Bowling Green. The Outstanding Sanitarian award recognizes an individual who has made a meritorious contribution in the field of milk, food, or environmental health to the public health and welfare within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
“Buddy has great knowledge in the field of environmental science and continually uses that knowledge and experience to monitor and improve the environmental health of Kentucky’s citizens. His passion for science, willingness to share his knowledge through teaching and love of the outdoors have been key factors in his success,” said Jan Chamness, Public Health Director. State Plumbing Inspector Chris Ferguson added, “Buddy is also an outstanding educator. He does speaking engagements throughout the State. He has the respect of his peers and in my opinion there is no higher honor.”
Wilson is Environmental Health Director for the Montgomery County Health Department.
